The Board of Directors is elected by the homeowners, or as otherwise specified in the bylaws. No, the Board of Directors is not paid. In fact, it’s actually stated in the By Laws that the Boards are not allowed to be paid or compensated in any way. for them to get paid. They don’t even receive a discount on their Assessments! The Board Members and any Committee Members are all volunteer positions.
